Nesting

The Beginning

Originally, Whistling Bird was not even a street on the mountain. Our owner came to Foscoe with an idea to build an escape in the clouds, and he saw the potential of this __ acre lot to become a haven in the trees. He began building and in March 2025 began to see his vision of Arbor Domus become a reality.

The Community Building

After a particularly rainy spring, the frame for the Community Building was finally built in early Summer 2025, alongside the floor frame of the Swallow’s Nest.

The Swallow’s Nest Flooring

Our crew finished putting the floors into the Swallow’s Nest in mid June. Now, our owner is hand-painting each support beam (seen as red in the photo) to maintain the property’s wilderness vision. We want travelers to seamlessly glide from the Earth into the trees!

The Work In Progress

Our construction team is hard at work on both primary buildings, ensuring that all are structurally stable and stylistically in line with Arbor Domus.
